I purchased this oil with the hopes that it would make me a full time member of the facial oil movement. I have very oily skin so I've always avoided products that have oils in them. However I've been curious about facial oils for a while now, since most people have claimed that it did the opposite of breaking them out. I picked serious interest in the the Oils of life range after seeing it on display in 2015. Everything looked so luxurious and very expensive!
According to The Body Shop, Oils of Life Revitalizing Facial Oil is made from 99% oils of natural origin. It contains three precious seed oils; Black Cumin seed oil from Egypt, Camellia seed oil from China and Rosehip seed oil from Chile. It instantly replenishes moisture, intensely revitalizes the skin and also reduces the signs of aging.
I used a toner for the first time a while back and it left my face not only dry but with dry patches all over. I quickly started to use this instead of my regular daytime moisturizer since it was a lot more hydrating and my skin needed moisture! I had a pimple extracting tool ready for the first two days, mainly because I was so worried that it would break me out. I didn't break out within the first two days but I started to break out towards the end of the first week. I was so sad because this oil is intensely hydrating and sinks easily into the skin. My skin glowed for hours after I had used it!
If you have oily skin like I do and you still want to try this oil, it might feel slightly heavier than the moisturizers that you are used to. It also has a strong scent, I don't mind it but a lot of people consider it too be strong. It comes in a 30ml bottle with a dropper in the cap, which makes it really easy to use.
Has anyone tried facial oils?

Hi hun, there is a loreal one I use for oily skin that is quite decent. Its called the extraordinary oil (their name not mine) there are 2 types ans the one for oily skin comes with a blue cap, I use it only at night, mixed in with my moisturizer and it seems to be doing something decent to my face, try it. Also decently priced.
ReplyDeleteI use Lotus oil by Clarins. Love it. I also use Caroline Hirons method of skincare so my skin stays clear.
ReplyDeleteI use hemp seed oil by Natural Nigerian (very cheap retails about 1800 for an 8oz bottle) and it's awesome! It balances my sebum production and is very light weight too, it is rated 0 on the comedogenic scale which means there is a zero chance it will clog ur pores. Also contains about 60% linoleic acid which is best for oily skin. For your face stay away from oils that contain more of oleic acid like olive oil cos they are for dry skin. You can get more information on this from the internet. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I am definitely going to start using hemp seed oil shaaaa...I have it but I use it only for my hair. But for all you just highlighted, I am so going to start using it for my skin too!
DeleteOh! and by the way, I hear almond oil is so good too. I just generally prefer using oils that I can guarantee that they are purely natural and not mixed in any way.
DeleteI use oils mainly from Natural Nigerian. I used Rosehip oil first and I am currently using grapeseed oil. They are lightweight and hydrating. I literally glow and I have an even skin tone now!
ReplyDeleteSounds Good! I like it very much. Let me know where I can buy it??
